What biological age is, and what it isn’t
A model’s estimate from blood markers. Useful as a direction, weak as a single number.
Biological age is the output of a statistical model. PhenoAge, one of the best known, combines chronological age with nine routine blood markers. It was trained to reflect mortality risk in US adults.
It cannot tell you your true age or how long you will live. Two people with the same score can have very different health.
Read it the way you would read a weather trend. One reading says little. The direction across repeated tests, taken under similar conditions, says more.
Telomy shows a confidence score beside each estimate. The more of your data it holds, the higher that score climbs.
